The Problem:
Georgia Iron Works (GIW) is a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment, including large slurry pumps for industrial applications. GIW came to Exceed to revamp and expand their pump-quote and order system. It started out as a homegrown Access application.
The Solution:
Exceed expanded the application to include a scalable SQL Server back-end, and added a web interface and many new features that enable robust integration between business units. Heavy use of SSIS packages for data transformation between quote system and mainframe.
The Result:
Robust multi-user pump quote and order system with live pump specs, pricing system and order revision cabability. One of our most complex but functional apps with top of the line user interface.
