The Discovery and Design phase is perhaps the most important, yet often
underemphasized, process in the application development cycle. It is during
this phase that the application requirements will be gathered and organized
into a physical client deliverable, in the form of a specification document, a
non-functional prototype, or both. This deliverable will serve as the
foundation for the development of the application architecture.
Once the Discovery & Design phase has completed, and the client deliverables
have been agreed upon, the Programming and Development phase begins. During
this phase, Exceed's project managers keep our clients aware of our progress,
and our status within the project timeline.
Once coding is complete, Exceed will place your application in a special
testing environment, either onsite or hosted within Exceed's own
infrastructure. Here, time will be given to the client to test the application
thoroughly, and acknowlege any bugs which may reside within the system. Exceed
will provide a tracking system so as to coordinate the correction of any bugs
which may be found in a timely fashion.
Upon completion of application testing procedures, Exceed's project managers
will coordinate the scheduling of the rollout of the new application to the
production environment. You can rest assured that all technical leads will be
available during this phase. If the new application will be replacing an
existing one, a rollback plan will be in place. Exceed takes entensive steps to
assure all of our clients a smooth transition and limited roadblocks.
